Condo Hotel and Fractional Ownership

Condo hotels are individual condominium units located in a hotel. The individual owners may rent these units when they are not staying in the property and typically receive a percent of the daily room rate for each night the unit is rented. The form of ownership is very similar to that of a condominium, or a fee simple, with an undivided interest in the common area, but the operation appears more like a hotel. Thereby, the name “condo-hotel” has emerged.
